Finding the Human Story Behind Trading
The project
In 2023, I worked as a freelance story consultant on a six-part documentary-style video series for Leeloo Trading, featuring the individual stories of six active traders.
Each video explored a trader's personal journey: what brought them to trading, the setbacks they experienced through fear, greed, or a lack of discipline, and how they worked to overcome mental barriers and develop healthier relationships with money.
The storytelling approach
Rather than focusing solely on trading itself, the series centered on the people behind the experience. Their individual journeys created opportunities to explore vulnerability, personal accountability, discipline, and growth.
The series was intended to foster connection and mutual support within Leeloo's trading community by highlighting experiences that other traders could recognize and learn from. The stories also provided a way to communicate the company's role in supporting traders through their individual challenges.
My role
As a freelance story consultant, I collaborated with the creative team on:
Story conception: Helping shape the narratives and identify the central story within each trader's experience.
Storyboarding: Contributing to the development and structure of the stories for video.
Scripting: Helping translate individual experiences into compelling, coherent narratives.
Editorial review: Reviewing video edits and providing story-focused feedback.
The creative objective
To use authentic, individual experiences to communicate shared challenges, encourage a sense of community, and tell a more human-centered brand story.
The final work
A six-part documentary-style video series published on YouTube.

Film & Creative Producing
Synopsis:
During a family meeting, a grandmother and granddaughter are forced to face their fears about growing old and growing up.
Role: Producer
One of the most challenging aspects of producing The Family Meeting was navigating an unusually uncertain production environment. We filmed the project during COVID, when health and safety protocols added an entirely new layer of planning and risk management to an already demanding production.
As a producer, I focused on keeping the team aligned around the larger goal of the film, helping navigate competing perspectives while remaining attentive to the practical realities of our schedule, budget, and production needs.
The Family Meeting went on to become a finalist for the 2022 HBO Short Film Award, and Iām particularly proud of the film because of everything the team had to overcome to bring it to the screen.
